Who Turned The Lights Off?
Lifestyle store Family Tree based in London's Clerkenwell Washi releases a stunning collection of lamps.
The Washi Lamp releases an elegant light using a patterned print. Washi is a traditional Japanese rice paper, and for this collection owners Matthew and Takako Copeland selected hand printed washi from a small artisan in Kyoto. Their print patterns originated from kimono fabric in the late 19th century. They are dyed with hand cut stencils using a paint produced in the Kyoto region.
